Policies & Procedures

Thank you for considering me as your Tattoo Artist. I am excited to work with you and make your dreams a reality! Please take a moment to read over my policies below. Be informed, by booking a Tattoo Appointment with me, you are agreeing to these policies.

Free Consultation

My services may begin with a free consultation, during which I examine your skin, explain the procedure, go over pre-care and after-care, and answer any questions you may have. Depending on the project we may also draw a rough design, view the skin, discuss expectations for final look, and color. Booking a consultation does not commit you to a service. After your consultation is completed, if you'd like to book a service, you must leave a cash deposit to secure your appointment. Free consultation is valid for 1 year, if 1 year has passed without a deposit left, a new consultation will be required to book future services. Consultation is not mandatory but is recommended for larger or more detailed projects.

Deposit

After your Free Consultation, if you'd like to book a service I will require a cash deposit of $100 to secure your appointment. For services less than $100, the total deposit required is 50% of the total price. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied to the final cost of your service, think of it as a down-payment. I am only accepting cash and E-transfer for deposit and payment at this time, with cash being preferred; thank you.

Regular Deposits are valid for 90 days. After 90 days have passed if the service has not been booked and completed, the deposit is forfeited.

If your deposit balance has been forfeited, you will require a new deposit to book with me again.

Late Policy

It is your responsibility to plan accordingly to arrive on time to your appointment. I recommend adding a buffer of 15-30 minutes to your commute time, in case any unforeseen circumstances arise, such as traffic or a late bus. Arriving late could impede my ability to complete, or provide your service, which may result in an additional charge for a second appointment, or a complete rescheduling. I will not delay the appointments of clients who are on-time to complete appointments of clients who were late. Clients more than 30 minutes late without communication will be considered No-Shows and will forfeit their deposit, with a new deposit required for future booking.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule an appointment requires 48hrs notice, anything less than this and your deposit will be forfeit. Future bookings with me will require a new deposit. I understand that sometimes things out of our control happen, if an emergency has occurred please let me know as soon as possible.

If cancelling or rescheduling a Free Consultation, please give at least 48hrs notice. Those cancelling or rescheduling a Free Consultation with less than 48hrs notice will only be allowed to reschedule 1 time. Failure to arrive a second time in a row will result in you being blacklisted.

Touch Up Policy

All Tattoo services do include 1 Free Touch up after the initial service is completed. Touch up must be booked, performed and completed within 3-6 months of tattoo being finished. Any Touch Up Service booked after 6 months will require a small tray fee. Fees may vary depending on if aftercare was properly followed.

No-Show Policy

A "No-Show" is a client who does not show up to their scheduled appointment or consultation, and who also fails to email or notify me ahead of time that they will not be coming. Clients more than 30 minutes late may also be considered No-Shows.

No-Showing to a Service Appointment will result in your deposit being forfeited. To book a future service with me 100% payment will be required up front. A second no-show will result in being blacklisted.

No-Showing to a Free Consultation will result in you only being allowed to reschedule 1 time. A second no-show will result in being blacklisted.

Tap-Out Policy

If you choose to end the appointment after the service has commenced for ANY REASON you will forfeit your deposit. Additional appointments to complete a service you chose to end before completion will require an additional deposit and payment for my time.

Blacklist Policy

I reserve the right to Blacklist anyone for violating any of my written policies. To be Blacklisted means to be banned permanently and entirely from booking any Consultation or Service(s) performed by myself. There is no way to be removed from the Blacklist. If you have been blacklisted, you will have to seek out services at another shop or with a different artist. I will not refer out blacklisted clients.

Forms and Adherence

I require all clients to fill out my Forms, follow my Pre-Care, and Aftercare Instructions, and adhere by all my policies and procedures. Failure to comply will result in your appointment being cancelled and deposit forfeited. Purposefully or knowingly filling out the forms with incorrect, misleading or falsified information will result in an automatic Blacklist as well as possible legal action.

Pre-Care/Aftercare

After your Consultation, if required for the service, you will be emailed a copy of my Pre-Care Information. Following pre-care is incredibly important to achieve the best results. In rare cases, not following pre-care can result in me being unable to provide the service, which will result in your deposit being forfeited and appointment cancelled. After your Tattoo is completed it is important that you follow Aftercare to get the best results, a damaged Tattoo from not following proper aftercare may result in additional fees at Touch Up. I'm always happy to answer any questions or concerns, and gladly can print a physical copy of any forms for your convenience. All forms are available to read and review at any time on my Policies, Forms and Care Info  page.

If you choose me as your artist you must read and follow all instructions to achieve the best result. Failing to follow proper pre-care and after-care, or to disclose necessary medical information may result in infection, trauma to the dermis, and/or a poor final outcome. I am not responsible for any unfortunate outcome resulting from your failure to follow the instructions given to you. I always welcome questions and ask that you inform me of any concerns you may have regarding the procedure as soon as they arise.

Accessibility and Accommodation

As a Disabled individual, it is important to me that my clients feel the utmost comfort and respect during their appointment with me. I am happy to provide Accommodations for any disability so long as the request is within reason and does not present an undue hardship. You do not have to disclose any medical information or diagnosis to me that is not relevant to the Tattoo procedure. However if you would like to request an accommodation or have a question about accommodations, please let me know in an email within 10 days of your appointment. My current shop is not very accessible, with 3 flights of stairs to get into the shop unfortunately. With enough notice I may be able to secure a guest spot somewhere accessible to tattoo from for those who cannot use the stairs, however in most cases I will refer you out to another artist at a street level shop. I apologize for any inconvienience this may cause.
